Man it has been a month. Sorry about that. Real life can be so busy. More on that later maybe.
I have been busy mining lately. I think keep up with it as you level would have been easier but there is something calming about running around looking for a vein. When I started around my last blog post I was at maybe 150. It took about a week, and most of that time was finding a vein. I think all the other gathering professions (aside from fishing) are easier to find your resourses. Mining takes alot of time but the pay offs are big. On my server Iron and Mithral were out selling Thorium! I blame the twinks but money is money. I can easily make 1000g a week selling my gems while upping my Jewelcrafting.
Almost Gaming has a great site for your mining needs: http://www.almostgaming.com/wowguides/world-of-warcraft-mining-guide-1-300-with-maps
I know the link says 1-300 but they have up to 450 with maps. It has really helped me. I do wish to add that if you are brave enough, Wintergrasp has a bunch of Saronite and Titanium veins. When I am PVPing there I always stop to get a resource (well not Titanium need to be 450, see below).
I am up to 430 mining now. My jewel crafting is now at 400. It's a little annoying that yellow level patterns do not give me a JC skill up any more. It can take 10 tried doing the same gem cut to move from 395 to 396. I was excited to get to 400 for the trinkets I can make but they are Bind on Pickup and not very good for a healer.
My healing now, thanks to the new gems is at 1419. I need to get higher so I can start trying to find a group for Naxxramas.
Next time I will write more about Jewelcrafting and the pros and cons of the professions. For now, keep the spirits in your heart.
